Moe and the Big Exit
Produced by - Big Idea
Rated G
- Favorite Features -
- Carried on from the Ballad of Little Joe with the "western" setting
- Excellent music - I like the quartet "narrating" the story and my preschool and elementary reviewers absolutely loved the new Boyz in the Sink song
- Excellent, colorful animation Big Idea is known for
- Return of loved "friends" - Larry, Petunia, Bob and more
I really liked how at the end of the story, Larry says Moe was almost like the Bible lesson, Moses and the Red Sea. Thank you Big Idea for taking care to help children know there are differences between VeggieTale stories and Biblical accounts - kids are so literal! I love the humor worked through the story - parents will not mind watching this movie and will more likely than not, enjoy it along with their children. My reviewers especially liked the part where the snow made a way through the desert for Moe and company. They said it reminded them of when they Israelites crossed the Red Sea! I personally found the part where the river turned to "tomata" juice and Bob's reaction is absolutely hilarious! Tremendously well done, Big Idea! I look forward to more quality stories in the future!

- return of loved classic, Peter Pan!
- music and bonus games and features add to the fun
Peter Pan was a favorite of mine when I was a young child - I'm thrilled to see it return to dvd for a new generation to enjoy! This classic presentation of Peter Pan is one people think of when they think of this story! The songs, You Can Fly, Following the Leader and A Pirate's Life are fun songs kids today will love just as we did when I was a kid! This classic story is one that can not be "topped" as it was perfectly presented when it was originally released! Tremendously well done, Disney!

Pirates of the Caribbean
- Dead Man's Chest
Rated - PG-13
- Favorite Features -
- continues the story from the first Pirates movie
- return of characters - Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley
- incredible sets and costumes
This absolutely is NOT a movie for children, so parents, provide the guidance this movie is rated for. I really liked the first Pirates movie, but feel like I will need to see the third movie to know if I really liked this one. There are definitely parts in this movie I found to be tremendously well done - the time on the cannibal island and escaping from Davy Jones's crew, but the ending of this movie was "unsatisfactory" - most likely because this movie clearly connects the first and third movies so it really doesn't have an ending . . . yet. I definitely am looking forward the the third movie. Based on the quality of the actors and the movie company, I would guess I'll really like the third movie, but time will tell! If you've seen the first movie, I'd absolutely recommend watching this before you see the third.
The Prestige
Rated - PG-13![]()
- Favorite Features -
- unique, unexpected ending absolutely "grabs" you at the end!
- actors are absolutely believable
Movies are supposed to tell a story, pull you into the story and make you "believe" - this movie does all this and more! The story's timeline jumps around and back and forth in time, meaning you have to pay attention, but the ending is absolutely excellent! This movie could not have had a better ending! The actors, sets, costumes - everything is tremendously well done for a movie you will love even more the second time you watch! The Prestige is an unexpected pleasure - I didn't think I'd like this movie, but was pleasantly surprised! Tremendously well done, Touchstone!
