2008 Holiday Gift Review

Baby/Preschool Toys

Once again we have had the opportunity to review a number of gift ideas for everyone on your gift list! In this year of rising expenses across the board for many families, we have looked for gift items you might give an entire family and for gift items running $100.00 or less - in most situations.

I particularly love giving and receiving books as gifts - I always received books as gifts growing up and believe it is one reason I value books! Consider giving people on your list a book and a package of cocoa - what sounds better than a nice warm mug of cocoa and a quiet evening to get "lost" in a book?! I also love books with information in them on how to do something, for example books on crocheting, knitting, basketmaking, etc. Books with info to help you learn a new skill or hobby are valuable in more than one way! A book, yarn and crochet hook makes a great gift!

Games are a great items for specific people on your list as well as for families - combine with some quality popcorn and great times will follow! I do have reviews of toys as most kids do hope to find a toy under their tree on Christmas morning, but tried to keep to toys with lasting ability - quality plush, dolls and toys encouraging imagination, learning and skills.

Gift items for grown ups made their way on my list this year with special focus on items that are enjoyable and useful!

As always, I've noted if an item is particularly easy to use - always a concern for me since I have MS and Lupus.

I hope as you look through this year's gift review, you will find ideas to help you with your gift giving needs!
